Project 52 - Week 12 Challenge

Although we didn't get to chat tonight, I (Kelleigh) sure hope you are all still feeling motivated and excited about your journey through our Project 52 challenges.  This week's challenge is the end of Session #1 (I think!  Or, maybe the start of Session 2?)!  Yay!  You've made it this far, so let's keep it up!  If you are new to Project 52, WELCOME!!  We are glad you can join us!  Our goal is to keep you on track to create 52 beautiful, meaningful layouts by the end of the year. 

Many of you have expressed your sincere appreciation for our prompts and for providing you with the motivation you need to keep going. So happy to hear that!  Thanks!  (Oh, and by the way, the grand prize KICKS BUTT!  I'm just sayin' . . . )

Okay, let's get on with the challenge!!

Week 12 - It's In The Lyrics

Your challenge this week is to scrap about a song that is particularly meaningful to you.  Whether it is a reminder of a wonderful or maybe painful time in your life, or if it is just a fun song that makes you happy, we want to hear about it.

The Rules:
Make sure you include at least a couple of lines of lyrics.  (The whole song would be awesome!)
Please include at least one photo.
I want to see some brushes or stamps.

That's it!  I'm excited to get started on this one (and catch up on previous challenges!  Eek!).

Be sure to post in the challenge gallery by Monday, April 6th.

Week 11: P52 Deadline Extension

Hi everyone,

Because this week's challenge was posted later than usual, let's push back the deadline by 24 hours.  You'll have until 11:59 p.m. EST tomorrow, Monday, March 30th to finish this week's "What's in a Name" prompt. A new challenge will be posted that evening (hopefully at a chat if all is well with the store/forum/chat) here on the blog.  Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful pages in the gallery!

Week 11: Project 52- What's In a Name?

Hey JWD P52ers, it's Teresa here, filling in for this week's challenge!  We'd like to apologize for the delay in posting your new "assignment", but I hope it's one you'll run with and really enjoy. 

Your challenge: What's in a Name?  Create a page about a name...it can be your son/daughter's name and why you chose it, a nickname and the story behind it, a favorite place that when you think of it conjures up a ton of good (or bad) emotion (a restaurant, vacation spot, summer camp, a childhood home (e.g. Rittenhouse Street where my MIL grew up), etc.  The sky's the limit on what you choose!  Think of a name that resonates with you for whatever reason and tell your story, get it down on paper to share with your loved ones.

Make sure to include:

1) The name you choose to do your page about in the title (yes, this one must have a title. LOL)

2) Journaling...you guys know I'm big on journaling!  This challenge needs some extra love, so tell whoever you want to eventually read this layout exactly why your "name" is so special.

3) Include some type of date stamp- think "established 2009" or "memory captured 1997", etc.  Make your own or use one of JWD's fabulous date elements in the store.

I can't wait to see what you all come up with!  I have to admit, my idea is already in my head for this one and I'm excited to see how it shapes up this week.  Have fun and thanks for continuing to play along in Project 52!

Layout of the Week 2/24

Wow, there's some great LOs in the gallery this week! It was hard to choose a winner but this one by aj_ed_mama stood out to me because of it's clean and simple design and all of the fun pictures. I also love the doodled border framing in both her journaling and title. Very cool! Congratulations!!!

LOTW for March 17, 2009

Gothmama (aka Laurel) here with the LOTW. This is always hard, and it was this week for sure. What an amazing array of emotions this weeks layouts has embraced. Wow! I so enjoyed reading the journaling and perusing so many fabulous and meaningful photos. This was really a challenge, but this weeks LO goes to Cheri, for this cool double pager. Congratulations!

Project 52 – Week #10 Challenge

Hey gang! Allison (alienhard) here! I’m happy to present you with the week 10 challenge for Project 52. I thought for awhile about what I wanted the challenge to be. And then I decided to give you as few “rules” as possible for this one. Mostly because I love to see what you all come up with on your own, without too many guidelines. I’m always amazed by the creativity of the scrappers on the site, so I want to see you guys just roll with it.

So without further ado, here’s your week #10 challenge…

There are so many ways you could go about this challenge! Some ideas:

* A collection of similar photos (i.e., school pictures of your kid for the past 10 years).

* Something you (or one of your kids) collects.

* A collection of photos that one of your kids took.

* A group of photos of things that are all the same color.

* A collection of your favorite words or quotes.

* A collection of your favorite all-time songs.

The possibilities are endless. Just think about the word “collection” and run with it. Throw at least one number somewhere in your layout, and you’re golden.

I can’t WAIT to see what you all come up with! I’m counting on you guys to really put some thought into this, possibly think outside the box, and scrap your little hearts out! :)
